Laurie is a native Vermonter living in southern Vermont, where she finds inspiration in the changing seasons and natural beauty around her. In 2014, Laurie was about to become an empty nester and bought a watercolor workbook with the goal of starting a new hobby. That hobby quickly turned into a passion.
Laurie’s work is dedicated to exploring Vermont’s landscape, capturing the ever-changing colors, emotions, movements, and light of each season. Through the use of watercolor and mixed media, she focuses on the rural landscape in realistic, loose, and abstract works.
Laurie is a member of the Southern Vermont Art Center. She has exhibited her work at the Monument Arts & Culture Center and Southern Vermont Art Center.
