A woodturner and member of the Vermont Woodturners Guild, Kip is a native Vermonter who has always been creative with his hands. After years managing his hobby sugaring operation, he recognized that the beauty of the trees could result in other uses, thus starting his passion in woodturning. Kip’s studio is now located in his former sugar house.
Kip specializes in bowls, clocks, live-edge, and especially one-of-a-kind pieces crafted from the wood burls resulting in unique grain designs not seen in the rest of the tree. He works mostly with locally sourced maple and cherry woods.
